Scholarship Review: A Taste of the Whole World While Studying on a Boat

Are you one of those persons that loves to travel, but you don’t think you have the time because you are trying to graduate on time? Well, there could be a solution for all of you that want to travel while studying. And the solution comes with the name Semester at Sea. I think this is a great opportunity for those that want to travel the world, but don’t want to  miss too many classes, or don’t want to take a gap year because they just want to finish university in the period set and not lose a semester.

While you are on the ship, you will take classes during the day that are an integral part of your degree program and you will earn credits by doing so. Therefore, with this study abroad option, you don’t have to worry about postponing graduation anymore! Also, you will have the opportunity to do sports, join clubs, and tons of other fun recreational activities that you would also be doing back in your university; it’s basically a campus on a ship. A campus will take you around the world!

During each semester the ship sets sail in different regions of the world. For example, it sometimes starts from Europe, Africa, or Asia and finishes in America. And the next semester you will start in America and finish in Europe, but the main idea, and the one that I want to emphasize, is that you will have the opportunity to learn about the world, new cultures, and make new friends, while studying on a ship.

The great advantage that you can take from this is that the organization offers different kinds of scholarships for students around the world. It doesn’t matter what your  nationality is, you have the opportunity to apply to one of the many scholarships they offer. There are scholarships that depend on grades, financial ability, and even your nationality.  So if you are really interested in this program I highly recommend you take a look at the scholarships on offer and begin the application process.  After all, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!
