In all the time that’s passed me by here in Madrid, this is the first time I’ve been able to get so close to La Fuente de Cibeles and, very luckily having my camera in hand, got to take this impressive shot of the Palacio de Cibeles. Everything looked especially beautiful this evening….
Sure to be one of the first sights you’ll see when in the city (the airport busses all end their route nearby), the impressive Palacio de Cibeles (1909) in the Spanish capital, Madrid, is the grand centerpiece of the fantastic architecture in this great city. Once the headquarters of the nation’s postal service, over the years the palace and the adjoining fountain have become symbolic monuments of the city. You will find the palace and the grand Cibeles Fountain in the Plaza de Cibeles while exploring Grand Via, Madrid’s principle boulevard with countless shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment.
