During your study abroad in London, be sure to check out nearby Greenwich. A short metro ride from the constant hustle and bustle of daily life in London, it’s a world apart in terms of tranquility and its a small town charm. It’s a great place to read, study, or simply have a picnic with friends in the grass surrounded by beautiful victorian era architecture. Also, don’t miss the Greenwich Observatory! Dating back to 1676 it was used as the official time marker for several centuries. Climb the hill to arrive at the now-museum and snap a selfie standing on the Prime Meridian!
