Educate the Planet with Scholarships

Everyone understands the expense of a semester abroad. Sure, scholarships and grants exist for partial payment of tuition, but that still leaves thousands of dollars in accommodation and program fees left for students to pay out of pocket. The Foundation

Educate the Planet is a non-profit organization that helps students overcome financial challenges and obtain educational opportunities through scholarships. The foundation partners with educational institutions and social enterprises to fund scholarships that are periodically awarded to students from all over the world. Due to a lack of higher education opportunities available in the developing world, Educate the Planet aims to provide access to those who otherwise could not afford to further their studies.

Application Process

Scholarship programs are available through various universities in Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The programs vary widely with scholarships available for Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree courses and internships abroad, so you are certain to find something that fits your study needs. Once you have found one or multiple programs of interest, you will need to create an account and fill out an application on the website.

The application will ask you for personal details, university or high school transcripts, and a letter detailing your motivation, intention, and need for studying abroad. Once submitted, the application is reviewed before the scholarship is awarded. If no scholarship is awarded, the organization gives the option to re-submit the application for another program, re-submit for the same program at a different time, or arrange a discount on the tuition fee. Educate the Planet’s first priority, however, is achieving your study abroad goals.

Insight and Advice

Scholarship Limit: Keep in mind, there is no guarantee that you will receive a scholarship. Very few candidates are awarded a scholarship that covers both tuition and accommodation, but Educate the Planet does guarantee that 500 candidates will receive a scholarship that covers up to 30% of their tuition fee. To be eligible for all varieties of scholarship, be sure to apply for both full and partial scholarships when filling out the application, and read through the foundation’s terms and conditions before submitting an application.

Submit to Multiple Programs: Submitting an application for many different programs and locations vastly increases your chances of receiving aid. If you submit to multiple programs and are awarded scholarships to multiple programs, this gives you more options to accept the program that best fits your educational and financial needs.
